Hello Everyone,

I’m writing to introduce to you the Ontario dirt competition committee.

In discussions with our fellow promoters we feel the time has come to create an organization that will govern the rules for both street stock and mini stock type race cars for competition at five of the dirt tracks in Ontario.

The committee will be made up of the promoter, tech official, and current champion from each of the member tracks.

The committee will correspond regularly to discuss pressing items and tackle any issues that may arise.

A website has been created and drivers can submit requests or questions using the new question/submission form.

Drivers and race teams that have tech questions, suggestions, or requests will now have a central place to voice their concerns.

Their technical Questions will be answered and changes would adopted by all member tracks at the same time.

When questions or suggestions are submitted the committee will make decisions that will affect the rules across all of the member tracks at once.

The committees decisions will be adopted by all the member speedways at the same time.

At this point in time we don’t anticipate any major rule changes to the current mini stock and thunder stock rule packages.

The committee will be working to clarify a few of the gray areas that have been brought to light in the past season.

Decisions updates and submitted items will be displayed on the website for all to see.

Thunder Stock committee tracks:

Brighton Speedway

Humberstone Speedway

Merrittville Speedway

Ohsweken Speedway

South Buxton Raceway

Mini Stock committee tracks:

Brighton Speedway

Humberstone Speedway

Merrittville Speedway

Ohsweken Speedway

The Ontario dirt competition committee rules for each division will also be utilized in the 2019 Duel on the Dirt series.

Thank you,

Clinton Geoffrey
