Media Release (January 26, 2021) The Ontario Dirt Competition Committee is proud to announce a new repair option for 602 crate engines. Beginning February 1st 2022, ODCC Approved Builders will now be able to repair and reseal existing 602 crate engines using ODCC Approved parts list and seals.
With recent supply chain, quality control, and cost issues with GM, the time is right to introduce this repair package. There are many good 602 cores out there and now they can be brought back to life or refreshed with this new package.
New Machining limits and parts will allow builders revive worn out engines that under previous rules would have to be scrapped. A part specific, limited number of parts have been approved that are equivalent to and do not provide any advantage over the existing or new factory stock 602 package.
Any questions or inquiries can be sent to project coordinator Terry Vince via email racehumberstonespeedway@gmail.com or (905) 329-8028
